Bird Box

Hello everyone and welcome back! Tonight I'm going to be talking about the new movie that was released on Netflix called "Bird Box". The movie was directed by Susanne Bier and stars Sandra Bullock. There are other supporting actors like Sara Pulson but mostly Sandra Bullock is the main character. Let me set the scene: Bullock plays a character named Mallory who is pregnant but is completely disconnected from her baby. It seems as though she has no feelings towards the baby at all. The movie is a fast action, meaning the action starts about 10 minutes into the movie. There is some type of presence that when people look at it, they either see their worst fears or they relive their worst tragedies which then makes them commit suicide. The movie is about Mallory's survival. They all wear blindfolds to protect their eyes from seeing and they have to rely on their other sences. The movie does do a lot of time jumps. It will go from being in the present to the past which doe...

Bumblebee

Hey everyone, welcome back! So the movie I will be talking about tonight is the new movie "Bumblebee". It's the newest of the "Transformers" franchise. The movie is directed by Travis Knight and stars Hailee Steinfeld as an 18 year old named Charlie and Dylan O'Brien as the voice of Bumblebee. The movie is what I would concider a prequel to the other "Transformer" movies because this movie is about how Bumblebee was created. The movie starts out in an epic battle scene on the planet Cybertron between the Autobots and the Decepticons and Optimus Prime makes the decision for B-127, aka Bumblebee, to go to the planet Earth and scope it out. He travels to Earth and ends up meeting a young girl named Charlie who calls him Bumblebee. I don't want to give away too much of the movie. I will admit that I have never seen any of the "Transformer" movies but I really did enjoy this one and it made me want to go and watch the "Transformer...

Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindlewald

Hello everybody! I hope your weekend went well and are ready for a new week! So this weekend, I went to go see a movie I have been dying to see and that is "Fantastic Beast and the Crimes of Grindlewald". For thoes not familar, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" was the first movie about the wizarding world to come out since the last Harry Potter movie series. This movie was directed by David Yates and written by J.K. Rowling. It starts Newt Scmander played by Eddie Redmayne and also another big role of Grindlewald played by Johnny Depp and Jude Law stars as young Dumbledore. In this sequal, in 1927 I believe, Grindlewald is trying to rise to power and gain followers so he can take up power over the wizard and witches. He has a secret weapon which happens to be a young man with a dark gift. The movie mostly is about this young man finding out who he is and why Grindlewald wants him so badly. I won't give away too much, we who have seen it have to #keepthe...

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms

Evening everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend; I did. Spent time with my boyfriend and family and also went to the movies on Friday to see The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. I will defantly say that it was not what I expected to be. The movie was directed by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston and stars Mackenzie Foy as Clara, Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Morgan Freeman as Drosselmeyer, Helen Mirren as Mother Ginger andJayden Fowora-Knight as the Nutcracker. There were other characters as well but were not main characters. So the plot starts with a young girl named Clara, who is dealing with the death of her mother. She visits her Godfathers home and comes across a realm, or should I say 4 realms. She meets different characters as well as the well known Nutcracker. I don't want to give away too much information just in case you want to see if but if I'm being honest, in my opinion, it wasn't that great. I am usually all for and a huge Disney fan but this mo...

Goodnight Mommy

Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie and this is my new blog I just started. I concider myself an avid movie watcher and I decided I would want to talk about movies I've seen and what my opinions are about them. So my first movie I would like to talk about tonight is actually a foreign film; I wasn't aware it was until I rented it. The movie is called "Goodnight Mommy". It is a German film. The movie was directed by Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala. The movie has only 3 main characters, and maybe 2 or 3 side characters that are only seen one or two times. The movie stars Susanne Wuest as the mother and her twin boys who are played by Elias Schwarz and his brother Lukas Schwarz. This movie is listed under the genre of thriller and I definitely believe that is correct placement. I'll set the scene for you without any spoilers. The plot of the movie is about a young mother, recently separated from her husband and also involved in a horrific car crash. Once the mother ...
